Abt Sportsline is one of the most famous names in the business when it comes to automotive tuning. The legendary tuning house is of course famous for working with Audi, taking the German manufacturer’s cars and turning them into even more potent machines.
The Audi RS 3 debuted in 2021, and now Abt have got their hands on the car and transformed it into a limited edition run of the new Abt RS3-R Sportback, a car they say is raising the bar even higher.
Exploring The New Abt RS3-R
Abt says that this new car is going to consist of just 200 units, making it a very limited edition indeed. The power output is the key detail here. Abt says that the power of the car is now raised to 500 hp, a very high figure for a small car. This is a raise of 100 hp from the 400 hp of the standard RS3. To achieve this, the car has the Abt Power R performance upgrade. This features an Abt intercooler as well as an Abt Engine Control unit, and also brings the torque level up to 442 ft-lb. But power isn’t all that’s impressive with this car.
This Is A Seriously Hot Hatch
The Abt RS3-R also has a great turn of speed. The car will go from 0-62 mph in just 3.3 seconds, the standard version meanwhile does it in 3.8 seconds. The five-cylinder engine now has Abt Sportsline framework, while two Abt double end pipes for the exhaust of 95 mm in diameter are made of matte black stainless steel that really add to the styling level of the car.
The Abt suspension springs and sports stabilizer bars enhance the car’s performance in the corners, and the V3 height adjustable suspension is available as an option.
Adding To The Audi Abt Style Set
When it comes to the styling, 20-inch forged Abt High Performance HR20 wheels are now on the car. Abt added the Abt aero package to the RS3-R, with visible carbon in a great high-gloss finish. This finish is on the front lip, and mirror caps, plus there are glossy black fender add-ons.
Inside, there are seats with the Abt and RS3-R logos, and the car is nicely capped off with Abt integrated entry lights with the Abt logo, RS3-R floor mats and a very cool Abt start-stop switch cap.
Abt expects these 200 units of the car to sell out very fast.
